Why join?

The answer is simple. Membership in Kansas Professional Communicators brings a number of benefits. Besides the tangible benefits outlined below, the intangible benefits are priceless — networking, professional growth, leadership opportunities.

Professional development

Stay savvy! KPC hosts its annual spring conference, which offers speakers addressing hot topics pertinent to our profession, and roundtable discussions that stimulate an exchange of new ideas.

The National Federation of Press Women's annual conference offers professional development seminars led by nationally known professionals and the opportunity to network with colleagues in your field from across the nation.

Communications contest

Win accolades and recognition! Our annual competition  for members and nonmembers — including university students — categories reflecting the broad range of our professions. First-place winners who are KPC and NFPW members advance to national competition. And, members pay a reduced entry fee. State winners are honored at the awards banquet during the annual spring conference. For rules, click here.

Communicator of Achievement competition

Go for the gold! Each year KPC selects a member as the Communicator of Achievement. It is our top honor bestowed for contributions to the communications industry. The winner is then eligible to compete at the national level. For rules and past winners, click here.

Newsletters & e-notes

Keep current! KPC activities, people and communication news are featured in our monthly newsletter, CommuniKPC, and quick digital briefs called "e-notes." Our members also receive the National Federation of Press Women Agenda offering information on professional development opportunities, member benefits and broader communication issues.
